Sifnos is more than beaches and postcard views. It is a living island with people, stories, flavours and habits that are still part of everyday life. Through Authenticity, I invite you to meet that side of Sifnos: cooking in real kitchens, walking old paths, dancing, visiting workshops and talking openly about how life is here today.
Most activities are private, designed around you and your group. For this season I also offer a few shared small-group dates for guests who want to join others. You can see these shared options below.
Come into my own kitchen in Sifnos and cook the kind of food we usually eat at home. We chop, stir, taste and talk about everyday life on the island, local history and simple ideas for what to cook when you go back home.
This experience is private, hosted only for your group. You can take the food with you or sit and eat with me in the kitchen.
See the Home CookingWe visit a local home and make bread like in the old days, using traditional tools and a wood-fired oven. While we knead, shape and prepare a pie, we talk about why bread was once a necessity and why many Greeks still cannot sit at the table without it.
The activity is available as a private experience for your group, and on a few dates also as a shared small-group option.
See Bread & Pies experienceWe cook dishes designed for a traditional wood oven, while we talk about why this way of cooking survived until today. Everything happens outdoors, next to the oven, and at the end we sit and enjoy the results of our work together.
This is a private, hands-on experience where everybody is expected to do something – not just watch.
See Wood Oven CookingWe walk through Apollonia and Artemonas, tasting local specialties and real Greek flavours while we talk about agriculture, recipes linked to customs and beliefs, and simple everyday cooking on the island.
You can book it as a private tour for your own group, or join one of the shared dates if you like meeting other guests.
See the Walking Food TourSelected walks on Sifnos that combine paths, views and stories. We follow old routes, visit archaeological sites and villages, and talk about history, architecture, faith and everyday life while we walk.
All tours are private, adjusted to the level and interests of your group.
See the cultural walksIn about 90 minutes, we learn one to four Greek folk dances in a relaxed, active way. We talk about how this dancing tradition travels with Greeks all over the world and you leave ready to join the circle next time you hear the music.
The lesson is private, for your own group, in a place that suits you on the island.
See Greek Folk DancingA flexible island tour with heritage interpretation: past and present together. We visit selected places by car or minivan, talk about food, religion, architecture, education and work, and adjust the route to your interests and the day.
Always private, always personal – the final itinerary is decided on the spot according to your group and the conditions.
See the island tourWe visit traditional and modern pottery workshops, meet local potters and see how clay becomes everyday objects. In the hands-on version, you also have the chance to sit at the wheel and feel the clay yourself.
All pottery tours are private, with options for observation only or a short wheel session.
See Pottery ToursWhether you prefer a fully private activity or you want to join a small group on one of the shared dates, all experiences are hosted by the same person – me. No scripts, no big buses, just real conversations and real places.
